Katee Sackhoff, has over the years, etched a mark for herself as one of the most popular women on the sci-fi genre, and even though the show might have ended, her name still lives on, in the hearts of her fans!

Talking of her experience of portraying Starbuck on the show, Katee says that when she started off in the industry, almost all the roles that came her way were of an innocent blonde girl, who had not a clue about how to defend herself.

However, being cast on Battlestar Galactica made her career undergo a drastic transition, and she was suddenly being perceived as the quintessential female fighter.

With all the fighter training that Katee underwent for the role, she laughs, as she says that she is convinced that she can out-fight a man, if the need arises.

She is quick to add that despite all the fighting skills that she has acquired, she is still a wimp, and can cry over a paper cut.

The actress, though, has learnt a great lesson from her experience on Battlestar, which is, never to put up with s**t from anyone.

She says that there was a time, when she would let people walk all over her, but that has completely changed now. She does not tolerate injustice now, even though she clarifies that that does not mean that she walks around being a complete b****!

It is just that she has a posture that’s more upright, and she dares people to mess with her.

Sharing a particular incident when that happened, she reveals that a stalker broke into her house, and she only realized that someone had been there, when she saw the door swinging.

However, our brave lady did not panic. Instead, she called the cops and chilled out over a bottle of wine, while she waited for them to arrive.

His speech took a high pitch, when he gushed forth his love for the European-ess and the indigenousness that engulf him, at the same time.

Traversing through his words will encourage one and all, to see humanity in the same light and bridge all racial divides.

Though it’s just the writer who has been finalized, still, we, the die-hard Battlestar fans are more than excited!

The writer is totally tight-lipped, as to what we can expect from the latest venture, but, what we are sure of, is that it will be bigger and grander, than the previous ones.

The latest movie will not bind with the last one, but will have a totally fresh start, with far-flung humans, in search of a long lost colony on earth and chasing them, will be the robots, called Cylons.

Hmm, sounds like any normal sci-fi flick?

Oh no!

When someone like John is writing the plot, the one thing that you can be sure of is, it will be one action packed, adventurous movie.

And we know from the past record of John, that he is truly impressive, as he was the brains behind ‘A Mighty Heart’ too.

John, though loves the previous versions of Ron Moore and Glen Larson, would surely want to give an extra edge to his version, and he is not letting us know whether he’ll pick Glen Larson’s source or develop his own.

That’s too much of secrecy, John!

But I think that this is John’s trick to keep us guessing about the plot, source and other characters.

But we must warn you John, we have good sources and you won’t even come to know, when we’ll get all the information, right from under your nose!

The gorgeous Tricia Helfer, of Battlestar Galactica fame, is one of those self-made actors who can look back at their career in prides, knowing that they have earned it all on her own.

Playing the balancing act with three television shows in one go, it is evident that Tricia is one busy actress, and she admits to not having enough time to sleep. So, would she trade the busy life that she is living for a more relaxed one, not driven by as much ambition?

She answers with a firm no, saying that she loves being busy, and does not mind compromising on the trivial luxury of sleep.

Tricia was discovered in the line-up of a local movie theater by an agent, after which she moved to New York, and worked as a model for ten years.

When asked about her take on the current state of the modeling industry, Tricia says that she is in no position to answer that, since she has been out of touch with the industry for a really long time. However, she remarks about the industry being kind of “cyclical”.

Explaining the term, Tricia says that at the time when she was a model, it was an era of supermodels like Naomi Campbell. That was followed by a period of models whose names nobody knew, and then the supermodel phase returned with models like Giselle. But she says that she might be completely wrong since she actually knows nothing about modeling now.

She further remarks that she does not miss being a model at all, since she experienced the best of it in those ten years, and needed a more challenging career then.

The sci-fi drama Battlestar Galactica’s leading light, Edward James Olmos, is all set to join Showtime’s super hit series, Dexter.

Yippee!

The renowned actor will be seen playing a major role in the sixth season of this one-of-a-kind show.

The superstar will be seen as James Gellar, someone who teaches religious studies. He will be portrayed as a dark character in the show. Not much has been revealed about the character, except that he will be playing a part in the new character, Mos Def’s life story.

Olmos has won the hearts of one and all, mainly for his role as William Adama, the male protagonist of Battlestar Galactica.

And all these shows are the brainchildren of none other than Mr. Glen A. Larson!

What you get to watch on screen, is a result of a collaboration of Universal with Larson Productions. It became evident recently, that the bond between the two companies has gone bitter.

Yikes!

If Larson is to be believed, Universal keeps all the money that it gets due to these shows with itself, and does not pay Larson the promised share. On his asking for the reason behind this act, the company gave some increase in its expenditure as the reason.
